Producers lift prices, buyers hold purchases in China lysine market
Lysine prices moved lower during the week ending April 3.
Lysine prices softened as feed millers withheld purchases with animal feed demand slow. Producers who were facing tight competition readily cut prices in a bid to move sales.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were in the range of RMB11.80-12.50/kg.
Export demand for lysine will likely soften as renminbi hit historic high of late. This, together with sluggish domestic demand and plentiful supplies, will keep lysine market weak.
